2019 - Present · Client: Jeugdlintje Eindhoven · Role: Product & packaging design · product · products
Since 2019, I have been producing the youth honour awards for the city of Eindhoven: Together with a group of fellow designers (Willeke Segers and Roey Alfassi) we developed the wearable iconic 'wave' pin in 3D metal used for the yearly award every year.
My contribution specifically evolved around designing the award box. Made with natural heat pressed felt and mounted in a sturdy frame engraved with the year of the award. Every year the award is given by the Mair of Eindhoven to kids who have done something special for the city. Below are some images of the award ceremony and the award itself.
The moment of the pinning: a young laureate laughs as the alderman clips the wave pin to her sweatshirt, her certificate in hand
Visual direction: A proud young laureate holding the engraved birch plaque toward camera, the red felt wave pin centred and a metal wave clipped to the collar.
